Due to the complex and evolving nature of Medicare, this presentation is designed to provide a foundational overview of this health insurance program for individuals 65 or older and people with certain disabilities.
With a look into the different parts of the program, this program will discuss the details of Original Medicare, Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D, and what services each part covers. A basic overview of the financial aspects of Medicare are examined including the cost to a beneficiary. This presentation will review Medicare Supplement programs and how they complement parts of Original Medicare. We will also explore program eligibility rules for individuals due to age or disability. Attendees will gain a better understanding of Medicare enrollment periods and enrollment options. We will also distinguish when it is advisable to delay enrollment in Medicare as well as recognize how Medicare works with employer coverage. Speaker:Leigh Bennett
Medicare Advisory Specialist IMA, Inc. Leigh is a Medicare Advisory Specialist for IMA, Inc in our Dallas office. In her role, Leigh focuses her attention on providing education, guidance, and assistance with selecting Medicare solutions for individuals transitioning to Medicare. Leigh joined Waldman Brothers in 2010 spending most of that time in Employee Benefits working closely with small to mid-sized employer groups. In 2012, Leigh began focusing her attention on Medicare solutions in the individual market. In 2016, Waldman Brothers was acquired by The IMA Financial Group. Leigh received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Address from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received two designations from The American College as a Healthcare Consultant and in Healthcare Reform. She is also annually certified in Medicare Product Sales. |
